UNESCO ( (United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization)

Unesco

UNESCO (United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization) is the UN organization for education, science, culture and communication. The organization's mandate is to contribute to peace and security by promoting collaboration among nations in the four disciplines.

For UNESCO, it is not NOK to build schools in poor countries or to publish new scientific findings. Education, science, culture and communication are means to achieve a much more ambitious goal: to build peace in people's minds. UNESCO's constitution states that "... since wars have their origin in the human mind, it is the human mind defenses of peace must be built up".
